Launch guide
Product Hunt launch guide for founders starting with a website
A Product Hunt launch is easier to review when the listing, maker context, and gallery all explain the same product from the same source.

Start with one accurate product sentence
Before writing a tagline, describe the product in plain language: what it is, who it helps, and what job it supports. This sentence becomes the check against which the shorter listing copy is reviewed.
Separate the listing from the maker comment
The listing should help a visitor understand the product quickly. The maker comment can add the reason the product exists, what changed during development, or how early users should evaluate it. Repeating the same sentence in both places wastes the available context.
Choose a small, relevant gallery
A gallery works best when every image helps explain the product. Use current screens that show the main workflow, avoid duplicates, and check that text remains legible at the final upload size. Marketing Pack can provide one to four website-based images when suitable assets are available.
Review platform requirements before publishing
Platform interfaces and policies can change. Treat the character limits and workflow described here as an editing aid, then confirm the current Product Hunt requirements at the time of submission.
