Checklist

SaaS launch checklist: what to review before you announce

This checklist turns a vague launch deadline into a sequence of verifiable tasks across your source website, message, channels, assets, and tracking.

1. Confirm the source website

Make the website the single reference point for the launch message.

  • The product name and category are consistent across key pages.
  • The homepage says what the product does and who it is for.
  • The primary CTA works on mobile and desktop.
  • Screenshots and logos are current and permitted for reuse.

2. Prepare the message

Write the shortest accurate version before expanding into channels.

  • A clear one-line description exists.
  • The supporting copy explains the practical value without unsupported claims.
  • The call to action tells the reader what happens next.
  • The Product Hunt tagline and description fit their current limits.

3. Prepare channels and assets

Keep each channel adapted to its context while preserving the same product truth.

  • Product Hunt listing, maker comment, and gallery are reviewed.
  • X post and image attachment are ready.
  • A collaborator can find the final copy and brand references.
  • UTM links use a consistent source, medium, and campaign naming scheme.

4. Run a final evidence review

Read every promise as if you were a new visitor. Remove claims that are not supported by the current website, and confirm that screenshots, prices, links, and platform limits are still accurate.
